Come along this journey with us and see behind the scenes at how we operate and the travels we get to go on for our business.

Hi and Welcome! My name is Alexandra McGrady and I am the co-owner and Operator of High Desert Defensive Solutions LLC. My husband and I started this body armor business back in 2022 and it has been steadily growing over the past years. We are a small family and we do everything for this company. While my husband, Matthew, develops and produces most of the products, I handle all of the operations behind the scenes. I am also currently earning my Bachelor's degree in Business right now while still maintaining our family and household. I wanted to create this blog to share what it's like operating your own business and to document our fun travels as we spread our business and grow together.

Here we are setting up in Yuma, Arizona. Our kiddos love traveling with us and want to help as much as possible.

We have a serious passion for this industry and enjoy all of the ups and downs that come with it.

There are always challenges to having your family integrated with your business, especially when the little ones are involved. But we try to take it in stride and enjoy our time together. Being able to travel as a family has brought all of us closer together and our daughter, who is older, is always asking to help us at tradeshows with our booth. We hope that as we grow our business and our children get older, we can teach them how to be business owners and professionals. We also hope to create a company that one day the will be able to inherit.
